A Week of Mission and Connection in Latvia

Recently, a small group of missionaries from the Catholic lay organization Kasih House of Mission embarked on an inspiring journey to Latvia. Representing diverse backgrounds - Lavinja from Malaysia, Anya from Poland, Tomas from Slovakia, and Olga from Latvia - we set out from our base in Slovakia to share faith, hope, and love with communities across this beautiful country.
Over the course of a week, we visited parishes and communities in Rīga, Rēzekne, Madona, and Līvāni. Our stay at the House of Unity in Rīga provided a warm and welcoming foundation for our mission. Each location brought unique encounters, as our programs addressed various topics tailored to the needs of the people. Yet, a common thread connected every visit: the remarkable openness, hospitality, and heartfelt responses we experienced during times of preaching and prayer.
The mission concluded in Līvāni, leaving us deeply moved by the tangible presence of God and the love extended by the local community. These moments reinforced our calling and filled us with gratitude for the opportunity to serve.
As we reflect on this incredible journey, we eagerly anticipate future missions in Latvia, carrying forward the lessons and blessings from this unforgettable week.
