Friends of the ‘Mountain’ Movement

It was a real pleasure for us to be together with each of you in such a special, unrepeatable moment - at the 10^th birthday celebration of the Move­ment ‘Kalnā’ in person.

We are grateful to every guest of ‘Kalnā’ events, who has so far gained joy, inspiration, enjoyed fellowship, sharpened his mind, knowledge and gone on various hikes, expeditions regardless of the weather, attended movie nights, gin­gerbread or pancake baking master classes, various lectures, as well as enjoyed won­derful musical concerts, dance eve­nings, balls, praise eve­nings, improvisation eve­nings, erudition eve­nings, picnics, sports games, board games, bicycle expedition, and solo concerts of several famous musicians.

Looking back on what we have done, we are truly honored and pleased with the almost 85 organized events. Despite the fact that once upon a time, long forgotten times... we also had such times when face-to-face events, fellowship, festive table & cake with candles disappeared, masks were a daily necessity and sometimes at best live eulogies & concerts could be attended in person if possible provided 2x2 meters in the church.

• For the initiators of the move­ment and imple­menters of the idea, who went on a pilgrimage to Aglon in August 2013 and on 19.10.2013. met at the first event of the ‘Kalnā’ move­ment, Vienotības māja - Rihards Mikkelsons, Arita Elizabete Rubena, Dace Biseniece, Aija Buldure and Liene Roķe.
• For the hospitable and won­derful premises in the imple­mentation of the events - Unity House - personally to Stefan Šever and Jacques Grüben, Robert Porcik; House of the Holy Family - personally to Bishop Andris Kravalis, Inese Švekle - for the long-term and sincere cooperation.
• To all the active ser­vants of the ‘Mountain’ move­ment all these years and to the sincere supporters for their essential and invaluable support.
• To every special lecturer who shared his knowledge and experience, as well as to the pro­fes­sio­nal, inspi­ring and talented musicians who visited ‘Kalnā’ during these 10 years.
• Thanks to the support team involved in the 10-year celebration - Vija Kurpniece, Līga Kalniņa, Baiba Ma Vi and musicians Jānis Augustīns Vaivods, Māris Liepiņš, who delighted everyone with their talent.
